We have opted to use Instagram as one of our social media channels in which to display our campaign on. Instagram is one of the ‘largest photo- and video-sharing platform worldwide.’ With over a billion active monthly followers, ‘the picture-centric nature of Instagram helps create familiarity with your brand’s presence and imprints on the mind of patrons, customers, and prospects.‘ Taking this information into account, it is important we utilise this information into providing high quality effective posts to interact with our age demographic, this will help them remember who we are for when they need us.

An advantage of campaigning our images and posts online is that they’re many opportunities to increase engagement. For example, by applying hashtags to your posts make them appear in those search categories that viewer is looking into creating a possibilities and advantage of reaching a widespread audience. Companies business accounts have the ‘access to free engagement and impression metrics’ thus this will help us as a campaign gather information into how to achieve the best outcome from our posts. Our target audience are also the most active on Instagram, ‘ 18-34 year olds make up the biggest share of Instagram’s audience’ this allows us to have the confidence of our campaign reaching our target audience.

Linking to our theorist Veronica Giarla we know the younger generation use social media as a main source into finding out certain situations. By posting our campaign online we are giving the younger generation the opportunity to research into the effects social media has and giving them a voice into expressing how they feel. The resources and helpful links we provide will encourage the audience to publicise it on their social media pages raising awareness further. We as a campaign need to create that level of trust and community with the audience in order to receive the best results.
