For our campaign to be beneficial to our demographic audience, we have conducted research into finding out when’s the best time to post on both of our social media channels. This is because we want to reach maximum engagement to raise the most awareness possible.
From our research we have found out the best times and days to post on Instagram. The data found indicates that ‘audience engagement is highest on the weekends – particularly on Saturday morning post 11am.’ We as a campaign have also taken into account that Tuesdays and Thursdays around 12pm and 6pm are the best time to post on weekdays as , ‘Instagram usage is highest at break times and commute times.’ Therefore, we aim to post around 5 times a week during these times to receive the best engagement possible. Along side these Instagram posts we will include stories that contain engagement activities such a polls to help the audience feel connected to the campaign.
TikTok
From our research the data we have collected for when to post on TikTok, we have come to a collective decision to post our videos on a Monday at 10am, Wednesdays at 8am, and Sunday at 4pm. We chose alternate days from our Instagram posts because we don’t want to overload the viewers with information and help in one day, we want to show them that we are here no matter and alternate from each social media channel with ease. We want our TikToks to be simple and easy to watch, providing the viewer with a sense of calmness and community.
